Yes this is another post about charity:water. I love this organization, and am very happy for their 5th Birthday! They are pushing a new campaign to help them build more wells faster. I highly encourage you to get behind them. They do incredible work, and are changing the way non-profits work.
I am a proud supporter of charity:water. The youth ministry I lead House has been fundraising since January with a goal of $5,000 to build a well that will provide clean water to 250 people for 20 years. They have diligently worked on this doing car washes, Chick-Fil-A Cheesecake fundraisers, and giving of their own money. As of two weeks ago we had a grand total of $2399 raised. We then went to our church body and asked for help. The church took up an offering, and we had one anonymous donor pledge to finish the payment of the well, as well as give an extra $5,000 to pay for another well. We now get to give charity:water a check for $10,000.
I am completely baffled, and so proud of this community. So thankful for a group of people that thinks far beyond the 4 walls of our church building to be the church to the world. Thank you LIFEchurch for supporting our students as they help people on the other side of the world!
